About me.

Hi, I’m Steph! And for as long as I can remember, I’ve spent nearly every moment of my free time planning my next trip.

After studying abroad in Amsterdam for a year, I really caught the travel bug and upon graduating from college, moved to Shanghai, China. It’s there that I met my husband, Pete, and since then we’ve lived in London, Mumbai, and Chattanooga and traveled to over 50 countries together.

Most recently, I spent almost two years traveling full-time with Pete and our three-year-old son, Hays. We criss-crossed the globe from Marrakech to Bangkok to Cape Town to Mexico City to Seoul.

India remains my absolute favorite destination to travel, but in the last couple of years I’ve discovered new favorites, too (South Korea, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam to name a few.) Truth be told, I’ve never visited anywhere I haven’t enjoyed (except maybe Mongolia, but it wasn’t Mongolia’s fault) and along the way, I’ve discovered how much I love encouraging and helping others to plan more adventures.

If it sounds like I might be able to help you get away, please get in touch!

How I can help.

  • Destination selection.

Not sure where you want to go? After getting to know you, I can suggest a few options that may be a good fit.

  • Accommodation selection + bookings.

In 2021 and 2022 alone, I stayed in 63 Airbnbs and 37 hotels. I’ll help you find the perfect property for your next getaway. In 2024, I booked nearly 200 hotel nights to over 20 countries, and in the first two months of 2025, I’ve already booked travel to 16 countries.

  • Itinerary building.

You’ve landed on your bucket-list destination but don’t have time for the details? Let me help build out a customized itinerary according to your preferences.

FAQ

  • Great question…and as someone who really enjoys the planning process myself, I get it. You might be interested in a travel advisor if you need help deciding where to travel to, where to stay, or simply don’t have the time to worry about all the details that come along with planning a trip. I can help with just a portion of your travel planning process, or take control of the whole thing and curate a fully customized itinerary. Also, as a travel advisor, I may be able to get you hotel perks like free breakfast, early check-in/late check-out, or hotel credit due to my agency’s relationships.

  • If it’s something as simple as recommending and booking a hotel, that is complimentary (since I would earn a commission.) Customized itineraries start at $600 per week of travel, but I can also offer a variety of a la carte services so it’s best to send me a quick email and we can go from there!

  • While my expertise/interests are Asia, cities, family travel, and train travel, I’ve worked in tourism for 15+ years, traveled extensively personally, and have a broad network of friends and colleagues in the travel industry all over the world. I’ve planned trips for people aged 2 to 80+ to give continents so if you think I may be a good fit, it’s worth getting in touch as it’s likely I can help out. :)

What my clients are saying

Before you travel:

1. Double-check the details
: Take a look at your hotel confirmations to make sure names, dates, and times are all correct and let me know if anything looks off.

2. Secure travel insurance
If you haven’t already sorted this, now’s a good time to think about coverage. I most often reccommend Faye— you can use this link to build a quote. Let me know if you have any questions.

3. Purchase an eSIM
For international travel, an eSIM can make things easier (and cheaper) than relying on Wi-Fi or roaming. We’ve used Holafly all over the world; it’s slightly pricier than alternatives but has unlimited data that never slows, which we appreciate. This link will save you 5%.

4. Visa requirements:
Be sure to check if you need a visa or any entry documents.

5. Book tours or activities:
You can browse and book directly through my travel partner link here. It’s a great way to line up day trips, skip-the-line tickets, and unique experiences. In addition to Viator, I also regularly use Get Your Guide. Both of those links are attributed back to me (thanks!)

6. Arrange a transfer:
For airport/hotel transfers, I use Welcome Pickups around the world. It’s similarly priced to Uber, but you can pre-schedule the pickups and they wait for you with a sign at the airport. There’s an app that keeps it all organized and the drivers, once assigned, communicate via WhatsApp. Here’s my link.
