Book Tokyo Disneyland →Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea?
They're two separate parks next to each other, and each needs its own ticket. There's no park hopper.
| Tokyo Disneyland | Tokyo DisneySea | |
|---|---|---|
| Feel | Classic Disney castle park | Unique to Japan, built around ports and the sea |
| Best for | Young kids, parades, first-timers | Adults, older kids, thrill rides |
| Big draws | Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast, Pooh's Hunny Hunt, Haunted Mansion, parades | Fantasy Springs (Frozen, Tangled, Peter Pan), Journey to the Center of the Earth |
Only have one day? Families with kids under 8 should do Disneyland. Everyone else should do DisneySea. See our Tokyo DisneySea promo code guide for that park.
Heads up: Space Mountain is closed. The original ride shut in 2024 and a new version is due in 2027.
Tips for Your Day
- Get there before opening. Lines at the gates form early, and the first hour is the quietest the big rides get.
- Use the Tokyo Disney Resort app. It's where you buy Disney Premier Access (paid skip-the-line for the most popular rides) and check wait times.
- Pick a weekday. It's cheaper and noticeably less crowded.
- Plan around the parades. Paths close for them, so cross the park before they start.
Getting to Tokyo Disneyland
Take the JR Keiyo Line from Tokyo Station to Maihama, about 15 minutes. The park entrance is a short walk from the station. The Disney Resort Line monorail connects Maihama, the hotels and DisneySea.
Arriving straight from the airport? Klook sells private transfers from Narita and Haneda, too. See our Japan airport transfer guide.
Planning more of Japan? See our Universal Studios Japan, Shinkansen and teamLab guides, or every guide on our Klook promo code page.
