Travels by Steph

Let’s work together to plan your next unforgettable trip.

About me.

Hi, I’m Steph! And for as long as I can remember, I’ve spent nearly every moment of my free time planning my next trip.

After studying abroad in Amsterdam for a year, I really caught the travel bug and upon graduating from college, moved to Shanghai, China. It’s there that I met my husband, Pete, and since then we’ve lived in London, Mumbai, and Chattanooga and traveled to over 50 countries together.

Most recently, I spent almost two years traveling full-time with Pete and our three-year-old son, Hays. We criss-crossed the globe from Marrakech to Bangkok to Cape Town to Mexico City to Seoul.

India remains my absolute favorite destination to travel, but in the last couple of years I’ve discovered new favorites, too (South Korea, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam to name a few.) Truth be told, I’ve never visited anywhere I haven’t enjoyed (except maybe Mongolia, but it wasn’t Mongolia’s fault) and along the way, I’ve discovered how much I love encouraging and helping others to plan more adventures.

If it sounds like I might be able to help you get away, please get in touch!

  • Accommodation selection + bookings.

In 2021 and 2022 alone, I stayed in 63 Airbnbs and 37 hotels. I’ll help you find the perfect property for your next getaway.

  • Itinerary building.

You’ve landed on your bucket-list destination but don’t have time for the details? Let me help build out a customized itinerary according to your preferences.

FAQ

  • Great question…and as someone who really enjoys the planning process myself, I get it. You might be interested in a travel advisor if you need help deciding where to travel to, where to stay, or simply don’t have the time to worry about all the details that come along with planning a trip. I can help with just a portion of your travel planning process, or take control of the whole thing and curate a fully customized itinerary. Also, as a travel advisor, I may be able to get you hotel perks like free breakfast, early check-in/late check-out, or hotel credit due to my agency’s relationships.

  • If it’s something as simple as recommending and booking a hotel, that is complimentary (since I would earn a commission.) Customized itineraries start at $500 per week of travel, but I can also offer a variety of a la carte services so it’s best to send me a quick email and we can go from there!

  • While my expertise/interests are Asia, cities, family travel, and train travel, I’ve worked in tourism for 10+ years, traveled extensively personally, and have a broad network of friends in the travel industry all over the world. In my first month of travel advising, I’ve planned trips for people aged 6 to 80+ to London, Morocco, Greece and South Dakota so, if you think I may be a good fit, it’s worth getting in touch as it’s likely I can help out. :)
